Shoshana Trager, LSW

]My therapeutic approach is guided by Psychodynamic Theory, which helps us evaluate childhood experiences, Attachment Theory, which focuses on how we tend to show up and react in our relationships, and Motivational Interviewing, which helps us disrupt patterns of behavior that don’t serve us.

We’ll explore how different systems (work, school, family, relationships, institutions etc.) affect one another and identify where you need the most support. My couples therapy is informed by my training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which explores our emotional experiences contributing to conflict and the connection with our attachment styles. These strategies for the work we do together will be challenging, insightful, and supportive.

I welcome individuals to bring in all parts of themselves to our work and I like to infuse humor into the room to make space for joy while sitting in the muck. All of this will be done with compassion and the opportunity to leave shame at the door or wrestle with it together. I see adults and adolescents in PA and DE.
